MOS 882A—Mobility Officer

Mobility Officer (MOS 882A) Description / Major Duties:

Plan, organize, and supervise the preparation and execution of unit movement and distribution operations. Coordinate deployment and distribution actions with multinational, joint, Army, and commercial agencies. Prepare and validate deployment and redeployment plans, orders, and SOPs. Plan and conduct training in unit movement operations. Plan and supervise the use of TC-AIMS II to document Army deployment, redeployment, and distribution operations. Assist commanders in planning and conducting unit movement operations and operational maneuver.

Minimum Requirements for 88N applicants:

  • E5 or above.
  • Two or more years of documented experience planning and executing deployment and/or distribution operations.
  • Current Secret Security Clearance (interim clearances are unacceptable).
  • Physical profile of not less than 222221.
  • Letter of Recommendation (USAREC Form 1936) from a Mobility Officer (CW2 or above.) For reserve component MOS 88N applicants a Letter of Recommendation (USAREC Form 1936) from a Mobility Officer (CW2 or above) is preferred however a recommendation from a CW3-5 warrant officer of any MOS is acceptable.
Desired additional qualifications:
  • BNCOC (Advanced Leader Course or ALC) Graduate.
  • Current HAZMAT certificate.
  • Graduate of the Battle Staff course.
  • Associate Degree from an accredited college or university.

 

Prerequisites for all other applicants for MOS 882A:

  • E5 or above.
  • Two years of documented experience planning and executing deployment and/or distribution operations.
  • Graduate of the Unit Movement Officer Deployment Planning Course (UMODPC).
  • Graduate of TC-AIMS II course taught by the US Army Transportation School or Program Manager-Transportation Information Systems.
  • Current Secret Security Clearance (Interim clearances are unacceptable).
  • Physical profile of not less than 222221.
  • Letter of Recommendation (USAREC Form 1936) from a Mobility Officer (CW2 or above.) For reserve component applicants a Letter of Recommendation (USAREC Form 1936) from a Mobility Officer (CW2 or above) is preferred however a recommendation from a CW3-5 warrant officer of any MOS is acceptable.
